The Role:
Careers Consultant
The Careers Service are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Careers Consultant to play an integral role in our work supporting students. You will have responsibility for a specific caseload of students on undergraduate and postgraduate courses and be expected to work flexibly in our delivery of Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance within the curriculum through our co-curricular central delivery and through one-to-one appointments.
Careers Service:
The Careers team provide information, advice and guidance to students and recent graduates to develop their career readiness, employability skills and plans to achieve their career aspirations. As well as the design and delivery of a range of other student employability and development initiatives.
The Careers Service is located in the Student Development directorate of the University’s Academic Services portfolio. Student Development is a recently formed directorate comprising of The Careers Service, Experiential Learning Team and Retention and Engagement. The teams collaborate closely to support students from the point of application to graduation.
Requirements: Ideally, candidates are expect tp possess a level 6 qualification in Careers Advice and Guidance, however considerations will be made for those with a level 4 that are either working towards or intending to undertake a level 6.
