The opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative, analytical and data-oriented individual to play a key role in the establishment of an exciting new division at University of the Arts London (UAL).
UAL Online has been established to enable access of our world learning creative arts education to audiences around the globe. We plan to launch with a suite of new degree courses starting from the 2025/26 academic year. As part of this new division, a Market Insight, Data and Analytics function was created to support UAL Online in making evidence-based decisions in its course portfolio and operations.
As a Market Research Analyst, you will support the establishment of UAL Online as a data-driven and evidence-based division. Working closely with your colleagues in the function, you will work on projects that will influence the full breadth of activities within UAL Online, including course portfolio development and performance assessment.
You will also source information, assist with online survey projects and keep up to date with Higher Education and online education trends to feed insight into reports and to help identify market opportunities.
As this is a brand-new position, there will be opportunities for you to shape the role and its activities to your experiences and capabilities. There will be a strong focus on desk research and development of new courses, transitioning to a more data-oriented role towards the second half of 2025.
About you
We welcome applications from data-oriented professionals from all disciplines and industries looking to make a difference in the education sector.
You will need experience of undertaking qualitative and/or quantitative research and reporting on findings in a variety of formats.
Further experience of undertaking desk research is essential, along with a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and strong numeracy and data analysis skills.
You will also need great organisation and project management skills, with the ability to work on multiple long projects at the same time.
