Reuben College is seeking to appoint a highly-skilled and highly-organised Programme Co-ordinator to play an essential role in developing our pioneering Global Challenges Programme (GCP).

The GCP is hosted by Reuben College in partnership with University Departments at Oxford, and it brings the highest level of intellectual rigour together with an impact-first approach to addressing the most pressing global challenges of our day. The GCP is currently in its pilot phase and is focused on the delivery of its first theme: Advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) Systems and their Impact on Human Development (also referred to as the ‘Generation AI’ initiative). To date, the Programme has established an interdisciplinary working group of subject experts, hosted a major launch event, and identified a series of challenges (and proposed solutions) related to AI and its impact on young people. Details of this Generation AI initiative can be found on our website here.

In this fixed-term role, you will have the opportunity to take on a variety of responsibilities, including effective communication and stakeholder management across the programme, diary and meeting management for the Programme Director, developing project management guidance and best practices, organising conferences, symposia, and other programme events, researching, writing, and editing a range of communications materials, maintaining websites and digital platforms for the programme, and collaborating with the finance and administration team.

To be successful in this role, you will need an excellent track record of managing complex projects, outstanding organisational and prioritisation skills, strong interpersonal and communication abilities, critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail, flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to explore new systems and technologies. Relevant experience in the higher education or corporate sector is desirable.

The role is part-time (22.5 hours per week) and offered on a fixed-term basis for 12 months initially, with the potential for renewal subject to continued funding.
