About The Role
We have 2 Fixed-term posts until 31st July 2025 working 35 hours per week.

The HR team is on a journey of growth, change and transformation. The HR Advisory Assistant role will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and professional advice to all staff members, and will be responsible for providing a pro-active, and efficient customer focussed HR service to managers and staff in Academic Colleges and Professional Service Departments for the full employee life cycle.
The HR Advisory Assistant will support the HR Service Delivery Manager with local HR day to day processes. If you would like to work with a strong HR community, in a fast paced, dynamic, and developing environment this opportunity could be for you.
The HR Advisory Assistant role will be responsible for ensuring that HR outcomes are delivered on time and to the agreed level for the full employee life cycle. (e.g. recruitment, absence, fixed term contracts, probations) in line with the University HR Strategy and Implementation Plan. Also responsible for delivering a systematic approach to identifying issues, risks and opportunities. Providing innovative solutions in partnership with HR colleagues’ managers and staff. Role model a continuous improvement approach using Management Information and objective data to ensure solutions add value and enable sustainable performance for customers.
The successful candidate should be able to work to the Universities Values. Key experience in providing professional, efficient and customer focused HR services. Must have strong experience of delivering agreed actions to ensure that HR/business outcomes for the customers are delivered to the required standard. A Full job description is attached.

Welsh Language Skills
The Welsh language level required for this role is Level 1 - A little. The role holder will be able to pronounce Welsh words, answer the phone in Welsh (good morning/afternoon) and use very basic everyday words and phrases (thank you, please etc.). Level 1 can be reached by completing a 1 hour course.
