This Post-Doctoral Research Associate (PDRA) position is funded by the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Working under the guidance of Dr Frederick Frost, you will make a significant contribution to a project ‘Investigating the Cardiovascular Health of people living with Cystic Fibrosis’ (ITCH-CF). This project aims to understand the cardiovascular health of people living with cystic fibrosis by develop methods to accurately identify these individuals within national databases. You will be based at the Department of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine, which is also the home of Liverpool Centre for Cardiovascular Science (LCCS), a strategic research partnership between the University of Liverpool, Liverpool John Moores University and the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. This environment ensures you will have opportunities to develop your own research ideas, contribute to teaching within the department and engage with various career development opportunities.
You should have a PhD (or be about to obtain) in areas relevant to this post (e.g. health data science, epidemiology, biostatistics, cardiovascular sciences.)
This is a fixed term post available for 15 months.
If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.
