An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical research nurse to join the Academic Vascular Surgical Unit (AVSU), based at Hull University Teaching Hospitals. The AVSU is part of the Clinical Sciences Group within the Hull York Medical School/University of Hull delivering high quality national and industry funded vascular research studies. We are seeking an experienced registered nurse who is motivated and enthusiastic and possesses an understanding and awareness of the issues relating to the delivery of clinical research within the NHS with a commitment to providing quality research of a high standard. The main aim of this post is to facilitate and support recruitment to a growing research portfolio of both academic and commercial studies.

The post is for 12 months (80% FTE) . The post-holder will be responsible for assessing and managing the research pathway for patients participating in clinical trials. This will involve identifying suitable study participants, undertaking study assessments and procedures and ensuring patient safety by reviewing and recording adverse events. You will work collaboratively with the vascular clinical trials research team and the wider multi-disciplinary team in the management of caseloads of clinical trial patients. You may be expected to travel between Hull Royal Infirmary (base) and Castle Hill Hospital.
