We have an opportunity for a Project Manager to work in the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology & International Health. The post-holder will have overall administrative and financial responsibility for a portfolio of vaccine epidemiology research projects, including the NIHR Health Protection Research Unit in Vaccines and Immunisation.
The post-holder will work closely with the PI and senior staff to: manage contractual and budgetary relationships with funders and collaborators; provide expert project management support; develop project materials for external communication and knowledge mobilisation; prepare technical progress reports with the support of academic staff; advise the PI in the management of staff resources; provide oversight of patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE); and organise and facilitate team meetings.
The post-holder must have higher education to degree level or equivalent in public health or epidemiology and be familiar with funding terms and conditions of UK funders like NIHR. Demonstrable experience with the full lifecycle of project management is essential. Further particulars are included in the job description.
The post is part-time 14 hours per week, 0.4 FTE and fixed-term until 31 October 2025. The post is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research and is available immediately.
The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale, Grade 6 in the range £44,847 - £50,808 pro rata per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part-time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available.
