The College

Pembroke College is the third oldest Cambridge College with around 750 students (undergraduates and postgraduate) studying a wide range of subjects. There are 80 Fellows who comprise the Governing Body of the College, most of them teaching Fellows. There are currently around 175 permanent members of staff. The College, set in beautiful gardens, is a friendly academic Community providing the highest quality educational and related opportunities for its students while also ensuring a supportive and flexible working environment for its Staff.

The Department

Pembroke College has been offering international students the exceptional opportunity to live and learn in Cambridge for over 40 years.

The International Programmes Department (IP) is responsible for the design, production and implementation of a range of short-term educational vacation and semester programmes.

The Role

The International Programmes Administrator provides a high standard of administrative support for the department and its programmes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across a range of departmental activities. They have key responsibility for the recruitment of Programme Assistants and provide comprehensive support across all programmes.

Qualifications/education:

  • Qualified to A Level (or equivalent) with GCSE (or equivalent) Grades A* to C in Maths and English

Skills:

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel High degree of accuracy and close attention to detail
  • Ability to identify and meet deadlines
  • Able to work well in a team
  • Calm under pressure, tactful, diplomatic and discreet
  • High level of proficiency in English, both written and oral
  • Commitment to continuing professional development and desire to develop in the role
