DTU Wind and Energy Systems, Section of Aero- and Fluid-Dynamics, is looking for a Tenure Track Researcher to join an existing group focusing on the application and development of Fluid Structure Interaction methods for the design and stability investigations of large wind turbines. The position is a full-time tenure track position.

Responsibilities and qualifications

You will become part of a research group focusing on aerodynamics, structural dynamics, turbine design and stability. You will be working in a project-oriented organization, participating in existing projects and in the formulation and application of new projects. The position demands strong teamworking abilities, excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multinational environment. In collaboration with the team your primary tasks will be: 

  • Research in fluid-structure interaction (FSI) and aeroelastic stability of wind turbines
  • Development and consolidation of our in-house CFD/FSI software
  • Research-based commercial consultancy
  • Teaching and supervision of BSc and MSc projects, co-supervision of PhD students 

We are looking for a candidate with solid qualifications in the following fields: 

  • Wind turbine aerodynamics and structural dynamics
  • CFD based aerodynamics
  • Programming and code development
  • High performance computing

You must contribute to the teaching of courses. DTU employs two working languages: Danish and English. You are expected to be fluent in at least one of these languages, and in time are expected to master both. 

As formal qualification you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent). 

You will be assessed against the responsibilities and qualifications stated above and the following general criteria:

Salary and terms of employment

The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.
