How will you contribute?

Are you an experienced, forward-thinking scientist with expertise in data-driven approaches for materials science? Join us to transform and accelerate materials research through advanced predictions, simulations, and experimental breakthroughs.

In the framework of national and international projects of the PROMAR group, you will be conducting and leading research, development, and innovation (RDI) activities in the field of data-driven methods for materials.

This includes:

  • Defining, obtaining funding for, executing, and leading RDI projects
  • Managing and reporting of RDI projects
  • Contributing to other RDI projects, collaborating with colleagues at LIST and abroad
  • Mentoring and training of group members, supervising PhD students
  • Disseminating, valorising, and transferring RDI results (incl. publications, conference/workshop presentations, patents, licenses, prototypes)
  • Maintaining and extending your professional network

You have:

  • Relevant Background: PhD and postdoc or industry experience in computational or experimental science.
  • Funding Success: Proven ability to secure research funding.
  • Project Management Skills: Experience leading research projects.
  • Research Impact: Solid publication record and experience supervising students.
  • Technical Skills: Strong Python programming, ideally with open-source contributions.
  • Computational Focus: Expertise in ab initio and machine learning-accelerated molecular dynamics.
  • Experimental Focus: Experience with machine learning-based screening, inverse design, or robotic setups
  • Collaborative Spirit: Positive, hands-on, and team-oriented. 

The ideal candidate will also bring:

  • Leadership in Research: Experience leading large, multi-partner projects.
  • Collaborative Network: Proven record of partnerships across sectors.
  • High-Impact Publications: Publications in top journals and conferences.
  • Advanced Technical Skills: Python and C++ proficiency.
