We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated candidate with experience in peatland data collection, compilation and analysis to support projects engaging with key stakeholders to enhance peatland monitoring protocols and knowledge exchange.
An impact acceleration project seeks to work with organisations delivering peatland restoration in the UK, and with government agencies, on the development and implementation of data standards, which will support ambitious government peatland restoration targets.
A second project, WaterLANDS, funded by the European Commission, focusses on peatland restoration, and the post-holder would be expected to work with partners across the ‘Great North Bog’ to understand science gaps, collate data, support and drive use of PeatDataHub and analyse data to produce useful findings and research papers.
In addition to peatland data science work, the candidate will be expected to convene meetings with partners, support development of a roadmap towards producing a library of protocols, and develop training materials and/or other tools.
You will also provide general research and impact support for water@leeds and its regional project, iCASP.
