We are seeking to appoint an experienced Research Associate to make a leading contribution to the ZAMSA-TB Project, a major Wellcome-funded Discovery Award investigating new epidemiological methods to measure tuberculosis transmission in Malawi, South Africa, and Zambia. They will have skills in infectious disease epidemiology, spatiotemporal modelling, and global health.
The Research Associate will work with Professor Peter MacPherson at the School of Health & Wellbeing, and with project collaborators at the Malawi-Liverpool-Wellcome Programme, ZAMBART, Zambia, and the University of Cape Town.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research protocols and publications, policy briefs, and research proposals, as well as help manage and direct this project in collaboration with partner organisations as opportunities allow. Work travel to international research partners is anticipated. They will additionally receive career support and training through the Athena Swan Gold-accredited School of Health and Wellbeing, and contribute to academic life within the Public Health Section.
