Applications are invited for the post of Medical Statistics Research Assistant, within School of Medicine, Mental Health & Clinical Neurosciences. You will be based at the Queen's Medical Centre Campus and will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team undertaking many multi-centre UK and international stroke trials. 

You will assist and support the Chief Investigators of trials, and the Senior Statistics Research Fellow in carrying out academic research, by contributing to trial design, conduct, analysis and dissemination. You will have qualifications in the field of medical statistics or a related subject and have good knowledge of SAS/STATA/R statistics software.

You will be involved with several clinical trials and will be required to work within well established teams, as well as working independently to produce statistical reports for trial committees, monitor and report on data quality and prepare trial results for dissemination. Work will be in accordance with ICH-GCP guidelines for the conduct of clinical research trials.

The post if offered on a fixed-term post until 31st March 2025, to cover maternity leave, with a possibility of extension subject to funding. Hours of work are very flexible, we can offer either full-time (36.25 hours) OR applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 7 hours per week).
