About Us

King’s Academy serves as the Education ‘Think Tank’ for the University focussing both on strategic priorities and in fostering a supportive and progressive academic culture across the College, in partnership with faculties and through our collaborative relationships with staff, students and external partners.

We strive to enhance and develop the potential of all educators who support education - from early-career to experienced faculty and those in leadership roles - through structured professional development, mentorship, and evidence-informed practices.

About the role

Your area of focus will be the coordination and delivery of the King’s Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) Development Programme, a programme of professional development for postgraduate researchers who support teaching activity at the University, which includes liaison with GTA staff leads in the Faculties and active participation in meetings of the London GTA Developers Network.

You will also contribute to supporting other core areas of King’s Academy activity, such as the Learning and Teaching Programme, and the King’s Professional Recognition in Teaching and Learning (i.e. particularly supporting colleagues applying for HEA Associate Fellow).

You will additionally co-deliver central and bespoke workshops for faculties, liaise with key stakeholders on their strategic priorities, and offer advice on areas of teaching and assessment.

This is an exciting opportunity for candidates looking to develop in an education development role, and who wish to utilise their skills and expertise in student experience, academic development, and pedagogical enhancement.

We particularly encourage applications from candidates with a STEM background, or with experience supporting staff development in these disciplines, as well as those who have experience from within and/or outside of the Higher Education sector where they can demonstrate the skills needed to succeed in this role.

Interviews are likely to take place either in the last week of November or early December
