We are seeking to appoint an Research Assistant to join the School of Infection and Immunity at the MRC-University of Glasgow Centre for Virus Research (CVR).
The postholder and will play a key role in a research project focused on the development of novel diagnostics for viral pathogens, including Crimean-Congo Haemorrhagic Fever (CCHF). This project aims to enhance the capability for rapid, point-of-care detection of high-consequence viral infections, thereby improving global health surveillance and response.
The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to conduct laboratory research, including the design and testing of diagnostic assays. The candidate will also be responsible for validating these assays using viral isolates and clinical samples, supporting the refinement and optimisation of diagnostic tools for real-world applications.
This post is full time and has funding available for up to 2 years.
