Temporary cover for extended leave
We are seeking an hourly paid Additional Needs Support Tutor to join our team based at our Blossomfield Campus. Providing support to students with additional needs on different courses, both full and part-time, across College, you will be innovative, organised and dependable and have excellent communication skills.
Ideally you will have experience of teaching or supporting students with learning disabilities or difficulties within a FE environment.
You will have the ability to assess, implement and monitor additional support strategies for students with a variety of needs, complete exam access arrangements and advise on progression towards further assessment as well as deliver 1:1 support outside of class for post 16 students in a college environment.
You will be required to support the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans and write individual support plans in order to identify strategies to support students within the college environment.
Qualified to Degree Level in an appropriate subject (or equivalent), you will have recent experience of working in an F.E. setting with students with additional needs and will also hold, or be willing to work towards, a Level 5 teaching qualification.
Predominantly based at Blossomfield campus, there may be a requirement for the successful applicant to work at the other College Campuses if required.
Please note if you are selected for the next stage in the process, you will be required to attend the College’s premises, unless exceptional circumstances apply.
