Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the School of Computing and Data Science

Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the School of Computing and Data Science (Ref.: 530204), to commence on July 1, 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract.

The School of Computing and Data Science (CDS) strives to advance education and research across the fields of computing and data science, artificial intelligence, statistical decision sciences, fintech, and actuarial science. It aims to take an integrated approach to reform these academic disciplines and foster multidisciplinary research collaboration within the University and beyond. Requirements

Applicants should possess a PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a strong commitment to research and teaching. A solid track record in research is essential. The position is open to all research areas in Computer Science, preferably in the areas of AI Security, IoT/AIoT Security, Digital Forensics, Data Privacy, Data Analytics & Technologies, FinTech, Metaverse, Computing & Big Data Systems, or Theoretical Computing.

What We Offer

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
