We are a world class research-intensive university. We deliver teaching and learning of the highest quality. We play a leading role in economic, social and cultural development of the North East of England. Attracting and retaining high-calibre people is fundamental to our continued success.
The Role
Net Zero is a historic opportunity for radical change in the process industries. From bulk and fine chemicals to food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and utilities, all process industries will fundamentally change the way they handle the flow of energy, feedstocks, and data.
The Process Industries: Net Zero (PINZ) CDT will train the next generation of process engineers and process chemists to develop the new processes, process technologies, and green chemistries required for Net Zero. They will be the architects and leaders of the UK process industries' Net Zero transition, ultimately shaping and influencing global trends.
Working as part of the CDT team, the main purpose of this role will be to ensure meaningful strategic engagement and collaboration for the CDT, enabling the realisation of benefits across its extensive network of partner organisations.
The role will involve managing and growing existing relationships with CDT partners, but also proactively seeking out and engaging new industrial and academic partners, and co-creating new PhD projects.
