The above full-time post is available immediately in the Centre for Ecology and Conservation on the Cornwall Campus (Penryn) of the University of Exeter. We welcome applications from candidates interested in working part-time hours or job-sharing arrangements. This role also offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.
The role
We seek to appoint a new Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Marine Ecology and Conservation, to support our partnership with the University of Khorfakkan, United Arab Emirates (UAE). We are particularly interested to hear from applicants with research experience in the Middle East and/or Arabian Sea, or with the ability to establish new research programmes in the region to support our partnership. The post will include the leadership of high-impact research projects and networks, the sourcing of funding for research, and the delivery of primary scientific outputs and impact case studies. Education roles will focus on the delivery of marine modules and project supervision and support of students from the UAE, alongside students from the UK and the rest of the world. Periods of education and research will be required in UAE as well as in the UK.
