Research Assistant Professor in Nursing: Cancer & Palliative Care AOE / Primary Health Care AOE (three posts) (Ref. 241024002)
Duties: (a) conduct research in the area of cancer or women’s health, as the main duty and actively pursue external research grants, such as General Research Fund as well as Health and Medical Research Fund, as Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator; (b) provide quality teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level; (c) contribute to departmental service; (d) conduct research that leads to publications in refereed journals and award of research grants; (e) engage in applied research, creative development and consultancy projects in relation to cancer nursing; and (f) contribute to the development of the School’s cancer research theme or primary health care theme and participate in its activities.
Qualifications: (a) have a PhD degree in Nursing or a related discipline, preferably with ideally at least two years of postdoctoral research experience at the time of appointment; (b) preferably have professional qualifications registrable with The Nursing Council of Hong Kong; (c) have demonstrated promise of a high level of creative ability in research and teaching in some subdivisions of his/her field; (d) be able to demonstrate effective classroom teaching skills; and (e) be highly proficient in written and spoken English.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive package including a medical benefits plan and a gratuity payable upon completion of the term which is normally for two to three years initially, with possibility of extension.
