Lead International Student Compliance Officer - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

About the Role

As Lead International Student Compliance Officer you will support our compliance requirements across our UK and Germany campuses. In this critical role, you will ensure all compliance activities align with UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations, as well as internal and external policies. You will manage a range of student visa matters, build relationships with key stakeholders, and lead audit preparations to maintain our high standards of compliance.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for relevant external agencies and immigration bodies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK immigration requirements (UKVI, UKCISA), as well as develop working knowledge of German immigration systems.
  • Oversee sponsor license management, including reporting duties, CAS allocations, and Basic Compliance Assessment (BCA).
  • Manage student visa-related matters, including visa extensions, documentation, and reporting to UKVI and other agencies.
  • Monitor student visa holders’ attendance and engagement to ensure compliance.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing advice and ensuring adherence to immigration regulations.
  • Lead audit preparations, internal audits, and regulatory visits, ensuring all processes and policies are implemented correctly.
  • Support local teams in both the UK and Germany to ensure they comply with immigration and regulatory requirements.
  • Escalate concerns regarding immigration and compliance to the Head of International Student Compliance.

What You'll Bring:

  • A degree-level qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of the UK immigration system, with the ability to manage complex processes.
  • Working knowledge of German immigration systems, or a willingness to learn.
  • Proven experience in providing advice and guidance to international students.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively.
  • Experience leading on audit preparations and managing regulatory visits.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
