The University of Aberdeen wishes to appoint a full-time Teaching Fellow in Practical Theology. This post is available for six months from 8 January 2025. Applicants should have a PhD in Practical Theology, or be in the final year of their studies, and have demonstrable expertise and teaching experience in Practical Theology.

The main purpose of this role is to contribute to teaching in the field of Practical Theology, including the undergraduate class in ‘God, Sexualities, and Identity’, and, to contribute, where appropriate, to departmental activities and events. The successful candidate will also undertake commensurate administrative duties.

Applicants should have some experience of teaching in higher education, excellent oral and written communication skills, and an aptitude for efficient collaboration with colleagues in academic administration. The University is keen to foster interdisciplinary and inclusive education, guided by its ‘Aberdeen 2040’ strategic plan (www.abdn.ac.uk/2040). The post is to cover the absence of the substantive post holder, who is taking a period of funded research leave.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 6, Spinal Point 30 (£37,999 per annum).

This fixed-term position is available for six months from 8th January 2025.
