The Student Services Administrator acts as first point of contact for students, staff and third parties, often having to deal sensitively with enquiries and referrals to services. The Student Services Administrator provides administrative support to all Student Services’ Units, in addition to managing and booking the Student Services’ meetings rooms as per requests for their use. Excellent customer service, sensitive handling of student enquiries and an attention to detail are all essential skills for the position. Given changing demands over the academic year the post will be located at Student Services reception as well as carrying out work for the wider Student Services Team.
With relevant experience of working in a public facing environment and a qualification to HNC level or equivalent, you will have a good understanding of student issues and concerns, enjoy working as part of a team and have an awareness of the issues surrounding confidentiality and data protection. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to produce a wide variety of documents and materials in both paper and electronic/web formats. You will also have knowledge of the full range of MS software. You will enjoy working with a wide variety of people and have a proven ability to manage a diverse set of tasks whilst providing an empathetic public face to clients.
