This role is an opportunity to help deliver the strategy working with our Head of Social Inclusion. Managing major initiatives, you will help embed behaviours associated with inclusion into our mainstream business. 

We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.   

About You   

It is a prerequisite that the successful candidate will have experience of delivering diversity and inclusion programmes to embed change within a complex organisation and requires knowledge and skills in areas such as gender, race, LGBTQUIA+ and disability. 

In addition, the successful candidate will have:

  • A good degree (2:2 and above) or equivalent qualification OR experience in an EDI role.
  • Considerable stakeholder management experience, demonstrating an ability to influence a variety of stakeholders such as students, academic and professional services colleagues to improve inclusion and cultural change in complex organisations.
  • Experience independently managing projects or campaigns to completion.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of people issues including HR policy, recruitment and talent management and assessment.
  • Experience working with marketing and communications teams to raise awareness of social inclusion issues.
  • The capacity to master new areas of knowledge and skills rapidly and to a high level of expertise.
  • Ability to influence senior colleagues and secure buy-in for relevant projects and other work.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to build trusting, respectful build relationships, and deal with staff and students in a sensitive, professional manner.
  • Ability to present clear and concise information to a variety of audiences in an appropriate forms including verbal presentations, reports and charter mark submissions.
  • Ability to construct well-reasoned, coherent, and rational arguments.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, handle a range of issues with diplomacy and discretion.
  • Ability to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritise.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively to identify and solve key challenges.
