As a ALS Administrator at our Kettering Campus you will play a pivotal role in the success of the students through:

  • Managing the Additional Learning support claim, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data
  • Ensuring that processes for High Needs Students are followed and in place to enable the college to fulfil its statutory duties in relation to students with Special Educational Needs
  • Undertaking a range of processes to support the management of annual reviews and Exam Access Arrangements to support students with additional needs

About you:

  • English and mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent or willingness to achieve English and mathematics Level 2 within one year
  • L3 Business Administration (or similar).Adequate experience of working effectively in a customer focussed environment
  • Adequate experience of successfully undertaking administration within the area of Additional Learning Support area
  • A sound understanding of statutory duties in relation to students with SEND as identified within the SEND Code of Practice (2014)
  • Experience of working with confidential documentation and information
  • Outstanding working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to demonstrate evidence of working effectively on own initiative to meet deadlines

About The Bedford College Group
The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year.

Today, the Group is made up of a family of colleges across Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire: Bedford College, Central Bedfordshire College and Tresham College in the towns of Bedford, Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard, Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough; Shuttleworth College, a specialist land-based college; The Bedford Sixth Form, (the only dedicated sixth form in Bedford); The Corby Sixth Form, (opened in September 2023); and the National College for Motorsport alongside Silverstone race circuit. To widen accessibility to education and training, the Group also has community-based Learning Centres in Bedford, Corby and Kettering which offer IT training.
