In this exciting role, as Engagement Project Manager you will lead and co-ordinate engagement and communications projects as part of our strategic engagement programme around Climate and Environmental Sustainability. 

This will include the scoping, launch and pilot of an improved scheme to offer local schools at all levels the opportunity to access climate and biodiversity related learning opportunities at locations on our estate, aligned with the DfE’s ‘National Education Nature Park’.    

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Engagement (Climate and Environmental Sustainability), the role holder will also have the opportunity to lead other assigned climate and sustainability focussed outreach projects,  such as elements of Reading Climate Festival, Show Your Stripes Day and other related engagement opportunities.

You will have:

  • Excellent communication skills, with a strong command of English language and grammar.
  • Proven planning, project management and organisational skills
  • Experience of delivering marketing and communications activity
  • Proven track record in managing relationships with internal and external contacts
  • Good understanding and passion for addressing environmental issues such as climate change and biodiversity decline
  • Broad understanding of the education system in England
