The Opportunity:
The School of Chemistry is seeking to appoint an experienced Stores Manager to be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our Stores that supports a wide range of research labs, teaching labs and technical and administration functions. The individual will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of service delivery, stock ordering & management and hazardous waste consignment, and will involve collaborating with colleagues across the University.
The successful candidate will be joining a team focussed on maintaining an excellent level of service and capability suited to the needs of the School of Chemistry.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Effective and responsive management of the activities of a busy Stores
- A customer-focussed approach to service delivery
- A sound understanding of the health and safety issues relevant to a chemistry stores, including the management and disposal of hazardous waste
- Ability to manage and develop a team
