Job details

The School of Medicine wishes to appoint a Project Operations Manager to play a major role in managing an exciting health programme on behalf of the University. This programme "Project your Health" is part of the post-project phase of the Business Health Matters initiative, and will work alongside our existing Wellness Centre to develop a programme providing ongoing health checks and health surveillance for individuals in employment.  This is a fixed term contract for 12 months due to limited funding.

The post holder will be involved in all aspects of the programme to drive it through to becoming a successful start-up venture. They will also play a crucial role in working closely with strategic and delivery partners to ensure that project outputs are met.

You will bring to the role the ability to manage key relationships, achieve targets, meet deadlines and manage the day-to-day activities of staff involved in delivering this exciting mission.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or have the relevant experiential learning experience. Experience of managing a team is advantageous, along with understanding of monitoring project expenditure and budgets. You will also have a strong awareness of what it takes to drive business initiatives forward. Using strong negotiating skills, you will have the ability to manage complex project objectives when working with partners and customers and maintain good working relationships with other stakeholders and the wider university team.
