Applications are invited for the role of School Research Grant Assistant within the School of the Humanities and Social Sciences.
This is an exciting and varied post primarily dedicated to supporting research grant administration and research related objectives in both the Faculty of History and the Faculty of Law, whilst also supporting other institutions across the School of the Humanities and Social Sciences as part of a wider, flexible team of School Research Grant Assistants.
The respective faculties of History and Law are world leading, dynamic, and home to diverse portfolios of research activity. The Research Grant Assistant role is vital to the research objectives of both faculties and will play a major part in all aspects of research administration.
The School Research Grant Assistant provides expert support and guidance to Principal Investigators (PIs) and Department based research staff, with an outcome of timely, accurate and risk-mitigated research grant applications. The role holder works in collaboration with PIs and project support staff to enable effective and efficient grant management of active research grants across the School.

The successful applicant will join a team of experienced research grant personnel, working collaboratively across the School of the Humanities and Social Sciences.
Although experience in a research role is advantageous, applications from individuals with transferable skills are welcome, since full training in research grant systems and processes will be provided, where required.
This a 1.0 FTE role, based at a combination of the Faculty of History, Faculty of Law, the Humanities and Social Sciences School Office, and remotely. Hours and working pattern can be discussed at interview.
