The International Centre at the University of Chester is at the forefront of expanding global education through online and transnational education (TNE) programmes. We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and innovative Global Development Director (Online/TNE) to lead and grow Chester’s international presence. This role will drive the design, implementation, and management of our global online and hybrid programmes, including partnerships with key international institutions.
As the Global Development Director, you will be responsible for partnership and programme development, financial oversight, and market expansion, ensuring the growth and sustainability of Chester Global’s educational offerings. This is a pivotal role, contributing to the university’s international development and enhancing our global reputation.
We are looking for someone with proven experience in the higher education sector, strong business strategy development skills, and a passion for driving online and TNE programmes forward.
You should hold an Advanced Degree in Business, Education Management, or a related field, with a proven track record in developing and managing online and/or TNE programmes, preferably within a higher education context, as well as possessing strong project management skills, experience with financial oversight, and expertise in partnership management and excellent verbal and written communication skills for report writing, presentations, and negotiations. The role will include international travel.
The role presents a unique opportunity to shape our global development opportunities, subject to growth and income generation a role/salary review will take place after an initial 12 months in post.
