Principle Data Architect

We are currently looking for a CPRD Principal Data Architect to join our Clinical Practice Research Datalink team in the Safety and Surveillance group.

Within a week of working here, your day could look like this: Setting CPRD’s data standards, models, and metadata, continuous improvement of datasets, data processing, and data access.

• Designing data architecture that deals with challenges across CPRD to ensure business resilience.
• Liaise with data users and partners as well as managing a team of people.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, or equivalent, in either a computer science-based, IT-based, maths-based, or related discipline or equivalent experience.  Have hands on experience of undertaking data profiling and source system analysis and presenting clear insights to colleagues to support the end use of the data.

• Have hands on experience of designing data modelling and architecture that produces relevant data models that work across the organisation, recognising opportunities for reuse and alignment
• Have hands on experience developing and setting data standards for an organisation, communicating the business benefit of data standards, and championing them across the organization.
• Have hands of experience of evaluating and developing data strategies to ensure business requirements are being met and exceeded where possible
