The WP team’s work directly contributes to the School’s strategy, LSE2030, and supports our goals for advancing equity, diversity and inclusion. The WP team works with colleagues across the School to meet the ambitious commitments in our Access and Participation Plan with the regulator, the Office for Students.

We are seeking two Widening Participation Coordinators to join our team, supporting the design, development, and delivery of pre-entry outreach and widening participation programmes for young people from groups currently under-represented at LSE.
Primarily, one role will focus on developing and coordinating a new KS3 attainment-raising programme, as well as managing our School Governors Scheme. The other role will concentrate on delivering LSE Thrive, a sustained access programme for Year 12 students of Black heritage, and coordinating the Black Achievement Conference, a half-day online event celebrating the achievements and contributions of LSE’s Black community. The role-holders will also deliver targeted events and activities aimed at widening access to LSE and other selective institutions for students from under-represented groups. This includes initiatives such as subject-specific outreach delivered in collaboration with academic departments and schools liaison activities.
