The University of Salford is now looking for a Research Assistant!

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join research activities DHMI with a recently-awarded pump priming award. The project aims to investigate the impact of viewing conditions on the accuracy of crowdsourced organ segmentation for AI ground truth.

This role will support the development of this project collaboratively and project management. The appointee will join the project team and will be involved in tasks including recruitment, data collection, analysis, dissemination and planning.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with an undergraduate degree in medical imaging/radiography or a related subject; experience in designing and organising experiments; quantitative skills and excellent communication and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • To liaise closely with relevant project partners, as well as other academics, advisors and administrators relevant to the project, to support the overall project to achieve its objectives.
  • To undertake desk research, and systematic identification and review of relevant literature.
  • To assist with data analyse and interpret the results.
  • To manage and store data arising from the project according to relevant University and funder guidelines.
  • To support and update other dissemination and communication activities (press, webpage, etc.) of the project.
