The opportunity:
We are looking for a Post-doctoral Research Fellow to work on a BBSRC-funded project on host-parasite interactions biology. The post-holder will be involved in the design of experiments and reagents through to data analyses. Applicants should have a PhD in Biological Science, computational biology, or related subject. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated and proactive individual with strong skills in either molecular or computational biology as applied to functional genomics and genetics of host-pathogen interactions. Expertise in parasitology or genome engineering would also be useful. The applicant will complete high quality original research and will disseminate the data in refereed papers, conference presentations and seminars. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, and the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently are important.
