A bit about Timetabling & Examinations
As a busy and integral part of the university, our team manages and delivers the academic timetable and coordinates examinations. We are also deeply involved in strategic projects that enhance the student experience, collaborating closely with Schools, Estates, and Digital IT.
So, what will the role involve?
We are at a pivotal moment, transitioning from one timetabling system to another—a change that will significantly impact our processes, policies, and procedures.
We’re seeking to appoint a Timetabling Officer with relevant experience to develop, coordinate, and support the implementation of the 2025/26 timetable, ensuring that it aligns with university initiatives and contributes to strategic objectives for enhancing the student experience.
Working closely with key stakeholders, you’ll assess teaching requirements and work collaboratively to produce a high-quality timetable that meets timetabling principles and customer expectations. You will also have line management responsibility for a Timetabling Assistant.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and resourceful team player who is experienced in balancing several conflicting and often challenging priorities, with a “can-do” attitude, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. You will have a keen eye for detail, confidently establish effective relationships and manage the needs of different stakeholders.
If you have any questions about this opportunity, please contact Amy McManus at a.e.r.mcmanus@salford.ac.uk for an informal chat.
