We are currently seeking an hourly paid Associate Lecturer to join The Bedford College Group at our Brooks Hair and Beauty campus in Bedford
As an Associate Lecturer, you play a pivotal role in the success of our students through preparing, delivering, assessing, and verifying a range of hairdressing programmes. You will support and guide students to achieve success and realise their full potential while managing their learning to provide a high-quality educational experience. Additionally, you will contribute proactively to curriculum development and innovative teaching, participate in marketing and promotion activities to support diverse learning opportunities, and stay current with CPD to ensure industry knowledge remains up to date.
Ideal candidates will have experience working in the Hairdressing industry with a proven track record of high performance. They should possess up-to-date knowledge of their specialist area, experience working with diverse groups, and a commitment to promoting equality and diversity. Prior experience in a customer-focused environment and working towards team objectives is essential. Candidates must also have recent experience teaching and assessing Hairdressing programmes, knowledge of City & Guilds requirements, and a strong ability to adapt teaching methods to support a diverse range of students, alongside the following qualifications:

What is an Associate?
Associates work on a short term basis as assigned. They teach or provide support services and they work with and are supported by core staff. As an Associate you will be issued with an Associate agreement, under this Agreement period you will be eligible to work on assignments offered to you. Typically an agreement runs from January to December and may be renewed thereafter.
