This post is full time and permanent, working 35 hours per week.
The University of Westminster delivers a range of higher and degree apprenticeships at undergraduate and postgraduate level (Level 4 to Level 7) supporting various sectors including construction, real estate, planning and healthcare, some of which lead to a professionally accredited qualification across three of our academic Schools.
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual to manage our apprentice data and systems, ensuring compliance with the ESFA’s Apprenticeships Funding Rules. The candidate will play a key role in the delivery of apprenticeships at the University, working as part of the Apprenticeships team within our Business Engagement Directorate.
The candidate will be the lead user for all apprenticeships systems and provide advice and operational guidance to colleagues to ensure best use of the systems and compliance with funding requirements. The postholder will undertake and coordinate regular audits of apprentice records to identify and resolve compliance risks. To be effective in the role, you will need a high level of specialised and technical knowledge related to apprenticeships, in particular the ESFA funding rules and the ILR.
The candidate will manage apprentice data to ensure accurate ILR submissions, preparing regular reports for senior managers and to support Ofsted inspection. To be effective in this role, you will need to have significant experience of working in an MIS/data role; confidence in preparing reports and analysing data, and the ability to share your knowledge and expertise with others by delivering training related to apprenticeships data or preparing guidance documents.
