We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Information Studies (Libraries) within the School of Humanities with a start date as soon as possible.

The subject has a record of innovative research and teaching working closely with local, national and international libraries, archives, museums, galleries and professional bodies, and we are looking for outstanding candidates to help fulfil our strategic vision to 'empower the human in information worlds'. They will contribute to delivery of an excellent student experience through learning and teaching and administration of CILIP, ARA and IRMS accredited courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. They should demonstrate their experience and ability to teach, and in time to convene courses on the new Masters programme in Library & Information Studies (including Libraries and Information Services Management; Information and Society; Special Collections and Digital Scholarship; Description, Cataloguing and Navigation) and the current Masters programme in Archives, Records & Information Management, as well as contributing to the team-taught undergraduate programme Digital Media & Information Studies.

They will undertake administration and service activities in line with the strategic objectives of the Subject/School and College. They will have early opportunities to take on substantive roles within the subject, including supervising our growing number of post-graduate research students.
