We have an exciting opportunity to recruit an Academic Programmes Assistant to help support the Academic Programmes Centre, Nuffield Department of Medicine providing the highest level of support for all its current and future educational offerings including DPhil and MSc programmes, short courses and summer schools.
You will work under the supervision of the Academic Programmes Officer, while supporting one of the NDM academic programmes, you will work together with the academic team delivering the course: this may be: Course Directors, Course Co-Directors and Module Leads, Directors of Graduate Studies, Assistant Directors of Graduate Studies, lecturers, teachers, and supervisors.
You will be responsible for providing support by managing enquiries from potential applicants and assisting the Academic Programme Officer with all the interview related tasks. You will oversee the on-course student progression, providing support for all placement activities, payments for lectures, teaching assistant and assisting with communications to students through posting announcements via Canvas or Teams channels. Additionally, you will assist in the course preparation, course finances, student feedback and providing general administrative support.
It is essential that you are educated to GCSE level including English and Maths, or equivalent, together with previous administrative experience. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You will be able to work unsupervised using your own initiative and work independently as well as part of a team. You will also be able to prioritise your own workload, be adaptable and reliable with a flexible approach to working.
