Due to recent expansion in student numbers within the School we are seeking additional staff to support the development and delivery of our Children and Young Peoples Nursing courses which are taught predominantly at our Bedford campus, although travel to our campuses and Luton and Aylesbury will be required.
We are looking for either an experienced Lecturer or Clinician, able to take responsibility for teaching on our undergraduate and postgraduate Children and Young Peoples nursing course. As part of the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Education team, you’ll work with colleagues across the University to deliver exciting, innovative courses within a friendly and supportive environment. You’ll also collaborate with local practice partners who support our students with practice learning, including apprenticeships.
You’ll be joining one of the University’s largest faculties, offering a full range of undergraduate, postgraduate and vocationally orientated professional health and social sciences courses for home and overseas students.
Our areas of study within the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Education cover both pre-professional registration and post-qualifying education, and we offer NMC-approved courses in the fields of Adult, Child and Mental Health Nursing, Nursing Associates and Midwifery. We also provide a variety of courses for qualified healthcare practitioners plus courses in medical and dental education. We set the bar on employability, with 100% of our graduates going into employment, normally with our local healthcare providers.
The University has an international research reputation and actively encourages staff to develop their specialist knowledge and skills through postgraduate and doctoral studies. All Faculty staff are encouraged to be research active, with full support provided by The Institute of Health Research.
Interviews will be held on Friday 15th November.
