Background

City St George's University of London is the University of business, practice, and the professions. Information Technology (IT) provides technology and digital services to approximately 5000 staff and 20,000 students. We are based in the heart of London, and our outlook is global; around half of our students come from outside the UK, our research has worldwide impact, and out commitment to sustainability and social responsibility runs though everything we do.

We are a department of 153 staff based across our London campus. We provide our staff with the flexibility of hybrid working. This role will be based at Abacus House when working onsite.

The post of Executive Assistant will support the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the newly formed IT Leadership Team.

Responsibilities

The Executive Assistant will provide a proactive, comprehensive and confidential executive support service to CIO and IT Leadership Team, working collaboratively with a network of Executive Assistants across the University. The post holder will ensure effective management of diaries, provide project support, coordinate internal and external communications, and also undertake office administration duties.

Person Specification

We are seeking confident and professional self-starters, who are proactive and able to pre-empt the needs of the leadership and department. A person who is good at building relationships, happy to be the first port of call for administrative and office needs, has excellent organisational and communications skills, and can improve operational processes within the department, would be best suited in this role. Experience of supporting recruitment processes and working in higher education is advantageous.
