Attendance Co-ordinator - 18 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, fixed term

18 hours per week, 39 weeks per year to cover term times - fixed term until 15.07.25

In this role you would identify and act immediately on problems relating to student attendance, punctuality and progress to ensure that students maintain an excellent attendance record.  You would take a pro-active role, including engaging ‘at risk’ learners in person and over the telephone, and communicating with parents and college staff. You would also maintain student attendance databases, produce reports, discuss students’ progress with teaching staff and arrange student disciplinary meetings regarding attendance.

You will need to possess good organisational and administrative skills, good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and be confident in using databases/systems. You should have good written and verbal communication skills, and have a confident telephone manner. Experience of working with young people in an educational environment would be an advantage.   

Working hours for this post: Monday 08:30 - 16:00, Thursday 12:00 -16:00 and Friday 08:30 - 16:00
