Permanent PA/Executive Administrator Post 0.8FTE

The School of Mathematical, Physical and Computational Sciences is looking for an experienced PA/Administrator to provide exceptional professional administrative support to the Head Of School based at Whiteknights campus, Reading.

The role is focused on providing high quality, administrative executive support to senior management across the School and you will have demonstrable experience of excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels across the university.

We are looking for a flexible and solution-focussed individual to join our friendly and highly talented School Executive team where you will be fully supported in your role. Full training and an extensive handover will be provided and you must have excellent IT skills and experience.

The role is split hours across the week Monday-Friday and is based on campus with a start date of January 2025.

You will have:

  • Extensive experience of Diary management.
  • Experience of minute-taking and follow up of actions.
  • Experience of supporting senior colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to ensure effective liaison and excellent communication with a range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • A flexible and adaptable disposition to meet changing needs and demands.
  • Experience of using your own initiative.
  • Ability to learn quickly and be solution focussed.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and meet set deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve team goals.
  • Familiarity with on-line processes and web-based systems.
  • Excellent IT skills and knowledge.
