Its also about delivering straightforward travel solutions so that as many people as possible can access our fantastic campus environments. This all comes together in our Travel Plan and you would be responsible for developing the next version of our plan. It must align with our developing university strategy to 2032 and with our commitments to sustainability.

With around 18,000 students and 2,000 staff to move around the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole region to access our three campuses (Talbot, Lansdowne and Chapel Gate), so we need someone who is organised, logical and can plan both operationally and strategically. You will have line management responsibilities for the travel and transport coordinator and parking officers and bringing them together as a team to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment is core to this role. We are proud to have a fleet of 15 buses which move not just our students and staff but members of the public around the region and last year carried 1.2 million passengers!

Part of your role is also to ensure that we have systems which enable control of our car parks, so that spaces are available for those who need them. We are implementing a new car parking management system with autopay technology and your role will involve embedding this new system and working with the contractor to realise the benefits. You can expect to be involved operationally as well as in a management capacity for our car parking management.

Commercial and analytical skills are important to, as you will be needing to deliver within a defined budget and also to report data the various schemes you own or will implement, to enable evaluation of their impact and continued value for money.
