We are seeking to appoint an experienced Research Associate to join our team in the School of Health & Wellbeing.

The successful candidate will use epidemiological and data science approaches, to make a leading contribution to a major NIHR-funded research programme investigating new methods to improve tuberculosis diagnosis through artificial intelligence imaging. The Research Associate will work with Professor Peter MacPherson (Public Health) and Professor Emma McIntosh (Health Economics) at the School of Health & Wellbeing, and with project collaborators at the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences in Malawi.

The postholder will be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications, policy briefs, and research proposals, as well as help manage and direct this project in collaboration with partner organisations as opportunities allow. Work travel to international research partners is anticipated. They will additionally receive career support and training through the Athena Swan Gold-accredited School of Health and Wellbeing and contribute to academic life within the Public Health Section.
