Lecturer in Law (or Professional Tutor in Law)

We are seeking driven, ambitious individuals to join us in shaping the future of the School of Law and Criminology at Liverpool Hope University. If you are passionate about being part of an innovative and dedicated team, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

At Liverpool Hope, we offer an enriching and supportive environment that encourages personal growth, career development, and a chance to contribute to the strategic evolution of our School, the University, and the success of future generations.

The School of Law and Criminology delivers a dynamic, research-informed curriculum at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and experience essential for thriving careers in law and beyond. We offer a range of programs, including the 3 and 4-year undergraduate LLB Honours degrees, and several BA Major Honours degrees in Law, where Law can be combined with Criminology, Psychology, Business, Information Systems, English Literature, or Politics and International Relations.

Our innovative postgraduate offerings include the LLM by Research degrees in Cyber Law and Policy, and International Migration and Refugee Law, with plans to expand into new fields such as Counter-Terrorism, Security and the Law, and International Trade Law.

If you are ready to advance your career and help shape the future of legal education, we invite you to explore this exceptional opportunity.

Specific Teaching Requirements

Candidates should have successful experience of teaching and student support in the laws of England and Wales and be prepared to contribute to the delivery of any two of our compulsory foundational law subjects.  Given our plans for further expansion of existing provision, we would particularly welcome applications from candidates able to offer teaching expertise and experience and lead in the areas of Family Law or Business Law (broadly conceived).

We recruit staff nationally and internationally as we seek out the best to help build Hope for the future. If you join us you will be doing so at an exciting and challenging time as we work to build a liberal arts-inspired University of distinction in the UK.
