The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a level 3 Teaching Technician in the Biomedical Sciences Teaching Laboratories. We are looking to welcome the successful candidate into the dedicated Teaching and Development team, providing excellent service as part of the team supporting practical teaching in the School of Biochemistry. Technical support for practical techniques, covering the academic concepts taught in such units as Biological Chemistry and Cellular Processes is provided by this role and their colleagues in the team. This includes techniques such as those cloning of DNA in E.coli to analysis of proteins associated with human diseases. You will also support academics delivering group final year undergraduate and lab-based taught post-graduate projects. The role holder will fully support teaching activities in their area, providing essential organisation and operational support in the preparation, set up and clearing of all teaching sessions.
