This new full-time post is available on a fixed- term basis from 1 November 2024 to 31 March 2027.
This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.
The post
The Faculty wishes to recruit a Graduate Research Assistant to support the work of the Peninsula Technology Assessment Group (PenTAG), a highly respected and well established health technology assessment (HTA) group. This NIHR grant funded post is available immediately until end March 2027, with a possible extension conditional on continued funding.
The successful applicant will support HTA projects for NICE working with multidisciplinary teams of systematic reviewers, epidemiologists, statisticians, health economists, information specialists and clinical experts in producing responsive, high-quality outputs under strict deadlines.
Key tasks associated with this role include appraisal and manipulation of clinical trial evidence, meta-analyses and clinical inputs into economic models. As part of this post, you will have an important role in supporting academic teams in the end-to-end management of health technology assessments with real-world policy impact.

About you
The successful applicant will be able to present information on research progress and outcomes, communicate complex information, orally, in writing and electronically and prepare proposals and applications to external bodies.
Applicants will be educated to first degree level or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study or equivalent experience and be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes.
