Job Summary - As a Graduate UX Research Assistant, you will support our User Experience (UX) researchers in delivering high-quality user research activities for the University of Exeter’s digital products. This is an exciting entry-level role where you’ll assist with user research, user-testing sessions, surveys, and other research activities to help the University understand user needs and improve digital services. This role is part of the Graduate Business Partnership (GBP) scheme and offers full time (36.5 per week) hours from October 2024 for 23 months. About You – You should be a graduate who has good verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate ideas simply and clearly, the ability to develop good working relations, good technical skills, and the ability to understand new technologies and software quickly. You should have the ability to prioritise, have good organisational skills, be able to logically approach problems, analyse data and present findings, and have an awareness of the importance of research. You should have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in an environment with a culture of change and growth, take a proactive, pragmatic, and positive approach to problem-solving, and be able to undertake tasks with a positive attitude, be prepared to meet business goals and respond well to change. You should have the ability to work within a matrix environment, collaborating effectively with different categories and levels of staff. You should also have experience conducting research. Eg. through dissertation projects, group research assignments, or coursework. This could include designing research methodologies, gathering and analysing qualitative or quantitative data, and presenting findings. Experience with user-focused research (e.g., conducting interviews, surveys) is desirable but not essential.
