We are looking for a Communications Officer to join the University of Oxford, supporting Estates Services across a wide range of activities - events, digital content, social media, and print! You’ll manage key relationships, helping teams bring their communication goals to life, whether that’s through running exciting campaigns, managing websites, or delivering standout internal communications.

You will have the chance to flex your creative muscles with everything from newsletters to social media content, while making a real difference in promoting the vital work of Estates Services.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage relationships with multiple teams, providing them with communications support
  • Act as the account manager for key teams including Facilities Team and providing support for other areas such as the catering team, marketing the University Club, promoting Oxford University Event Venues (OUEV), and creating buzz around their services.
  • Lead monthly round-ups to highlight key news and updates within Estates Services
  • Support internal HR communications, including a dedicated HR newsletter covering policy changes and more
  • Lead end-to-end campaigns across digital, print, and events, while managing websites and social media channels
  • Create and curate content for newsletters, social media, and websites

What You Bring (Essential):

  • Experience in communications (including planning), PR, or a similar role
  • Digital skills (think Microsoft 365, Canva, and social media know-how)
  • A creative mindset with an eye for detail
  • Excellent copy writing and proof-reading
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a busy environment

What You Bring (Desirable):

  • Social media savvy (experience with platforms like Instagram)
  • Newsletter experience
